During my childhood I was incredibly into games and computers. I loved everything technical and the sun was my worst enemy. You might already guess that during that time most of my friends I only knew through the Internet. That was alright. I didn’t care much about anything at all as long as I could just play my games.

However shortly after my 18th birthday, my life changed completely. I decided to meet some of my online-friends in America. I went on a vacation alone to New York. It was exactly the experience that I needed at the time. It gave me incredible amounts of confidence and showed me a lot about social interactions. At that point, I decided that I didn’t want to live my old life anymore. I wanted to have more of these experiences. I traveled even more the following years. I even tried “backpacking” (Okay it wasn’t really backpacking) through Taiwan.
During my high school time I was already allowed to attend university because of my good grades. I mainly attended mathematics lectures. So by the time I graduated from high school, I was already nearly finished with a Bachelor in Mathematics. I decided to complete this Bachelor in combination with business (Business Mathematics), but use my gained time to study something new. I still had a passion for computers and chose information systems.
I was always interested in Asia and at some point wanted to move to Japan for a year. At the time, I chose against it, but during my studies I suddenly had the opportunity to go to Korea. I absolutely love the Korean culture and decided to study there for 1 year. It all started very normally, but suddenly it all changed. I saw the booth of the Hip Hop streetdance club in the university. I had a lot of time and wanted to go visit. I had a couple of problems at first, but finally joined the club. One thing led to the next, and suddenly all I am doing in Korea is dancing and learning the language. It was one of the most important experiences in my life. It showed me a passion of mine that I didn’t know I had.
I am back in Germany now and I still dance every day. I am nearly done with my studies and try to found a company with an acquaintance of mine. I still don’t know where I am going next. All I know is that I want to keep dancing and I want to go back to Korea. I am just a geeky dancer loving to travel trying to find his place in this world.
